Yi Zhou received his B.Sc. degree in Aircraft Manufacturing and Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), China in 2012. He finished his PhD in April 2018 in the Research School of Engineering at ANU. He was awarded the NCCR Fellowship Award for his research on event based vision in 2017 by the Swiss National Science Foundation through the National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) Robotics. His research interests include Visual Odometry/SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), geometry problems in computer vision and dynamic vision sensors. His works include “Canny-VO: Visual Odometry with RGB-D Cameras based on Geometric 3D-2D Edge Alignment” in IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ROBOTICS, 2018. (accepted) and Semi-Dense 3D Reconstruction with a Stereo Event Camera at ECCV 2018.

Yi is now working as a SLAM Engineer with Motovis Intelligent Technologies in Shanghai, China.
