Alireza Khosravian is currently a Post-doctoral Research Fellow with the Australian Centre for Visual Technologies, University of Adelaide and was an Associated Research Fellow with the Centre. He received his PhD in Engineering and Robotics from ANU in 2016. He received a Master’s degree in Control Engineering in 2010 and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from Sharif University of Technology and Yazd University, respectively. Amongst his achievements, he was ranked first (according to GPA) amongst his peers during both his Masters and Bachelors studies. He has served as a reviewer for various top ranked conferences and journals including IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, IFAC World Congress, and American Control Conference.

He was also accredited as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, in Dec 2015. His current research interests include non-linear control theory, geometric control and optimization techniques, observer design and estimation theory on manifolds, visual navigation, and simultaneous localization and mapping. He presented several invited talks on these topics in various institutions around the globe, including University of Newcastle (Australia, 2015), Robotics Laboratory of Institut des Systemes Intelligents et de Robotique (France, 2013), University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis (France, 2013), and Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden, 2011).
