Horia Porav

Horia is a second year PhD researcher on a 3 month visit to QUT from the Oxford Robotics Institute. His main research is centered around improving robot visual localisation under adverse conditions by using generative adversarial networks (GANs) to change the condition and appearance of visual sensor information.

During his visit to the Centre he will be investigating the applicability of cycle-consistency GANs to unsupervised learning of grasping poses and simulation-to-real domain adaptation.
