Francesca Cini

Francesca Cini

Francesca is a PhD researcher in BioRobotics at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa (Itlay). Her research aims to improve human-robot interactions taking inspiration from human behaviours during collaborative actions. Francesca holds a Bachelor and a cum laude Master degree in Biomedical engineering (2014 and 2017 respectively), both from Università di Pisa. After her Masters degree, Francesca received a research fellowship from the BioRobotic Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Italy) and she developed a robotic barman shown during the opening ceremony of the International Robotic Festival held in Pisa on September 2017.

Francesca visited the Centre and was based at QUT from March to the end of June 2018. During her stay, she collaborated with Centre Research Fellow Dr Valerio Ortenzi on the project “Learning Handovers: exploring the influence of visual and tactile feedback.”
