Feras Dayoub

Feras Dayoub

Feras Dayoub is a Research Fellow with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Robotic Vision, based at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

From 2014 to 2015, Feras was the computer vision lead on a QUT project to enable an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to detect crown-of-thorns starfish on the Great Barrier Reef using an advanced machine learning system (The COTSBot project). During 2014 to 2016, he was part of the Queensland DAF Agricultural Robotics Program in QUT, where he worked on developing enabling robotics technologies for farm robotics. Between 2012 and 2014, Feras undertook a postdoctoral fellowship as part of the research team on an Australian Research Council Discovery Project (ARC DP).

Feras obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2012 from the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems (L-CAS), UK.
