RoboVis 2020

RoboVis 2020

24th-26th November

RoboVis is our annual science symposium and all members of the centre, including Chief Investigators, Associate Investigators, Research Affiliates, Research Fellows, PhD students and Operations Team staff are invited to attend.

This year, due to the restrictions in place from COVID-19, RoboVis will be held as four events hosted at each centre’s node with the program live streamed across all venues.

Please visit the event page for your node for specific program timings:

The final program, including speakers, has now been published and is available via the individual node links above. In addition to our four keynote speakers and project impact presentations, we have a series of Health & Wellbeing presentations and the usual 3MT, poster session and project demo. Because we are all joining from different locations this year, the format of some of our sessions have changed:

  • Posters will be printed to view at all venues and also available via the website for all to view, especially colleagues attending RoboVis virtually.  Each poster has a short explanatory video and a Slack channel to help facilitate discussion. We also have a dedicated segment in the program where attendees can walk around and view the posters before voting for their favourite.
  • 3 minute thesis will be a series of pre-recorded videos played on 24th November after dinner. There will be two winners – one voted by the 3MT committee and another voted by yourself on the night
