Profile

Markus Hiller

Markus started his PhD at Monash University in 2020 under the supervision of Chief Investigator Professor Tom Drummond.

His main research interests lie in combining principles from computer vision and geometry with deep learning in self-supervised settings for scene understanding, as well as in providing context for estimates by modelling distributions and biases present in such scenarios.

Prior to his work at Monash, Markus worked for 2.5 years on environment modelling and robot navigation tasks in a joint research project at the Friedrich-Alexander University, Germany after obtaining his Bachelor and Master of Science in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
