Hanna Kurniawati is a Senior Lecturer with ANU and a Computer Science (CS) Futures Fellow at the Research School of Computer Science, ANU. Her research focuses on robust decision making and robot motion planning. She has been working on algorithms to enable robust decision theory to become practical software tools. Such software tools will enable robots to design their own strategies such as deciding what data to use, how to gather the data, and how to move so they can accomplish various tasks well.  The goal is that they will be able to achieve this despite various modelling errors, types of uncertainty, and limited to no information about the system and its operating environment.

Hanna joined the Centre as an Associate Investigator in late 2019.
