Centre Chief Investigator Michael Milford is part of a $3 million project just announced by Australian Defence Industry Minister Melissa Price (as detailed in this Defence Connect article) to drive the next generation of autonomous vehicles. The collaboration involves Australian and US universities.
The “Neuro-Autonomy: Neuroscience-Inspired Perception, Navigation, and Spatial Awareness” project will carry out the fundamental research required to enable autonomous vehicles to learn and adapt in challenging and dynamic environments.
